Summer School in Lille offers students a balance between overseas study and the urge for wanderlust.
Gaining first-hand experience of your host country is central to your international study adventure. You will be given an opportunity to travel to critical cultural and historical destinations in the Euro-region and partake in activities to enhance cultural immersion.
A variety of day trips are included in the cost of your program. Additionally, you may add on additional excursions for an extra fee.

Day trip One
Visit Lille, France
Wander through colourful, multicultural stalls at the vibrant Marché de Wazemmes (Wazemmes Market) and discover the region’s artistic heritage with a visit to Palais des Beaux-Arts. Dubbed the ‘Louvre of Lille’, this renowned museum features works by Goya, Donatello, and Veronese.
Day trip Two
Visit Brussels, Belgium
Spend a day exploring one of Europe’s most culturally diverse, cosmopolitan, and greenest cities. Not only is Brussels Belgium’s first city, but it is also the de facto capital of the European Union.
Visit Bruges, Belgium
Stroll the streets of this Unesco World Heritage city famed for its Flemish architecture and system of canals that encircle this picture-postcard travel must-see. Bruges yields a cornucopia of sensory and artistic delights, including Belgian chocolate, waffle workshops, breweries, and craft outlets selling handmade Bruges lace.
Visit Ypres, Belgium
The beautiful city of Ypres in Flanders staged five of the most brutal battles fought during World War I, including the Battle of Passchendaele. Indelibly linked with the war, Ypres houses many museums, war cemeteries, battlefields, and historic sites. Unmissable experiences include In Flanders Fields Museum and Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing.

Paris, France – Overnight in Paris
A visit to France’s colourful ‘Capitale’ never disappoints. A mecca for fashionistas, artists, gastronomists, and culture vultures alike. As the saying goes: Paris is not a city; it’s a world. Costs include: Transportation, one night hotel stay, breakfast, boat cruise and access to public transport.
Normandy, France – Overnight in Normandy
Roam the beaches of the D-Day landings, wander through the city of Caen, and explore the magical island of Mont Saint Michel during a 2-day stay. Costs include: Transportation, one night hotel stay, breakfast and dinner.
Nausicaa, France – Day trip
Spend a day at the largest aquarium in Europe. Marketed as an unforgettable voyage to the heart of the ocean. Visitors marvel at the 1,600 species of marine life housed within this top-ranking attraction. Costs include: Transportation, lunch and entrance fees.
Reims, France – Day trip
History, art, architecture, and the gateway to France’s legendary Champagne region. Many treasures await in the heritage destination of Reims. Costs include: Transportation, an optional guided tour of the cathedral, admission, and tour of the champagne cave.
WWI sites, France – Day trip
Witness the trenches and battlefields, the war museums, and the WWI memorials of the poignant ‘Western Front’. Costs include: Transportation, dinner and museum admission fees.
Amiens, France – Day trip
A beautiful city with rich ancestry. Fascinate at the gothic majesty of Cathédrale Notre-Dame d’Amiens (Amiens Cathedral) and its belfry which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Costs include: Transportation and optional guided tour.
London, England – Three days and two nights in London (open to students doing ESP 1 and ESP 2)
Spend two nights in the UK’s buzzing capital city. Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Houses of Parliament are just some of the iconic landmarks waiting to be seen. Costs include: A two night hotel stay, transportation from Lille to London, public transport pass and a guide to show you around.
