Our placements give you real-world experience in your industry of choice within a supportive and inclusive environment – hence, what better place to do an internship than in Ireland?
Scholarships up to €1000 available
In a country as rich to explore as Ireland, your learning will go far beyond the workplace. In fact, all of our interns find themselves in constant development throughout the course of their placements in Ireland, both personally as well as professionally.
Learn more about each placement category in Ireland by selecting from the list below. If you don’t see your major or industry on the list, don’t worry! We don’t list all of the subject areas that we have as a result of high-demand, however we can facilitate almost every area of study and interest.
Contact us to let us know which type of experience you’re looking for in Ireland and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
Your experience is built around you and for you. We’ll match your placement to your field of study, interests and goals – no cookie-cutter programme here!
We pair students with a small or medium firm in Ireland that supports and challenges them in equal measure. As a result, the professional placement will allow you to work with inspiring professionals, bring your academic knowledge to life and further your career goals.
Our placements revolve around learning – the chance to hone skills, develop new ones and build confidence through experimentation and getting out of your comfort zone. Having said that, our placements also include the mentoring, support and learning goals that are often absent from graduate jobs.
Certified work hours, placement assessments and tailored feedback to satisfy the academic credit requirements as outlined by your university can be provided by us at Learn International.
For students staying with a homestay, we will match you with a local family that’ll give you a home-away-from-home living experience. Living with a family is one of the most enjoyable parts of the experiences, as students say it immerses them in Irish life, culture, customs and cooking.
Airfare, materials for placement, visas and associated costs (where applicable), mandatory health insurance, meals and spending money aren’t included.
*Placements are for academic credit and are unpaid often to visa requirements.
In order to apply for this programme, all applicants must:
Students will be placed in either homestay accommodation with breakfasts and dinners provided or in a self-catered student residence.

From time to time, we may have to place students in alternative accommodation due a housing crisis in Ireland. This may involve an extra fee.
We’re a small organisation, which helps us keep our fees competitive despite the fully customised programme we offer each student.
There’s an application fee of €95 and a participant commitment fee of €500 that are both non-refundable.
Airfare, materials for placement, mandatory health insurance, some meals, in-country transportation, and spending money are not included.
Learn International is dedicated to the commitment of lifelong learning. As such, our internships include up to a €150 stipend towards enrolment onto a professional development course of your choosing to enroll in and complete while you’re on your internship.
For interns who decide not to make use of this opportunity, there will be no additional discount or cash back. Additional terms and conditions apply. Ask your Learn International Internships Coordinator for more information.
