Turn Europe’s rivers into your classroom—study, live, and learn on board.

Spend 11 days cruising along the Rhine River, learning, exploring, and experiencing studying abroad across three EU countries – Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.

The European River School offers a distinctive study abroad experience that combines academic enquiry with immersive travel through one of the world’s most interconnected economic and political regions. As students move through key ports along the Rhine, the programme uses the river itself as a living classroom, connecting place, policy, industry, and culture in real time.

A chartered river vessel serves as both accommodation and learning space, creating a fully mobile classroom where students live and study together throughout the journey. This shared environment supports a highly collaborative model of learning, with faculty-led discussions, project work, reflection, and peer exchange embedded into daily life on board.
