Need an Intern? Become a host company for Learn International

Irish hospitality is at the heart of our country. Experience hosting a student through Learn International

Ireland & UK
University students

Welcome one of our university interns into your organisation!

We are looking for host companies who can offer high-quality internship placements from 6-12-weeks in a variety of sectors.

  • Our students are currently studying at university, or have graduated and are seeking hands-on skills in your industry.
  • Our interns are vetted and interviewed before we match them with you as a host company.
  • Students are all over the age of 18 and English speaking.
  • Interns seek out their placement and most are receiving academic credit for their experience abroad.

All internships are unpaid, and there are no fees to partner with us and host our students, so there are no financial commitments required. Our hope, rather, is that there will be mutual gains on both the employer’s and the student’s part for the duration of their time working with you.

Throughout the process we work with our host company partners to ensure that our students are helping them fill a short-term need within their organisations. We also work with students from the time they submit their applications to the time they complete their programme. We review each student’s academic background, CV and letter of interest, and we complete a mock interview prior to sending potential students’ details to ensure that you will only receive high quality students who we feel are prepared for the responsibility of an international internship experience.

What we ask from you is to provide a structured, supervised experience for students so they can learn and gain experience from their chosen field and be of help to you.

Benefits of hosting an intern:

What we ask of host companies:

Host an intern virtually!

Virtual Internship Programme

Like many of us here in Ireland, Learn International is very lucky to be able to work remotely to keep ourselves and others safe during these difficult times. And, like many others here in Ireland, we have also been hit by the economic implications of COVID 19. While our team may now be smaller, we continue to adhere to one of our core values of generating new ideas and being forward thinking and innovative to keep ourselves and our clients moving and learning.

We currently are incredibly lucky to be utilising the skills of a graduate intern who has remained steadfast in completing her internship with us, albeit remotely. This is proving to be invaluable to us. Can we also make a remote intern invaluable to you and your team?

We are all venturing into a new era of remote work and learning and relying on technology like many of us haven’t had to do before. Many of us are doing it with less staff, yet have more tasks than we can handle. If you’re part of this group, let us know and we can try to connect you with an intern to help complete some projects for you.
