About Learn International

Learn International was established in 2013 and is based in Ireland. We design and deliver study abroad programmes across Europe, working closely with partner universities, faculty, and local teams to provide meaningful academic and cultural experiences for students.

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable On-Site Programme Coordinators to support our students and faculty during their study abroad programmes across Europe this spring and summer. This is a hands-on, people-focused role, ideal for students interested in international education, student support, or programme coordination.

You will be the main point of contact on the ground, helping ensure programmes run smoothly while supporting students throughout their stay. Full training will be provided ahead of the programme.

Who this role is for?

This role is well-suited for candidates who are organised, reliable, and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. Previous experience in student support, events, or customer-facing roles is desired.

*The applicant should be currently living in these locations with the ability to speak the local language. 

Key responsibilities

Pre-programme Support

      • Attend and participate in any pre-departure orientation sessions and logistics meetings
      • Provide support in on-site programme preparations
      • Conduct site visits to any/all of our partner vendors
      • Complete all necessary trainings 

Student & Faculty Support

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for students and faculty while on-site
      • Assist students with settling into their new environment, including cultural adjustments and practical guidance
      • Address student concerns and escalate issues to the Programme Development Coordinator when needed

Logistics & Operations

      • Airport and/or train station meet and greet
      • Design and deliver a walkabout tour for visiting students on arrival day
      • Facilitate airport transfers and local transportation
      • Assist with orientation sessions, excursions, and other programme activities
      • Attend activities, welcome and farewell events, and group meals
      • Support classroom logistics, including setting up venues, materials, and technology

Health & Safety

      • Ensure student adherence to health, safety, and emergency protocols
      • Act as a first responder for any incidents and support emergency response efforts as needed
      • Maintain up-to-date records of medical concerns and assist students in accessing local healthcare if needed

Administrative Duties

  • Assist with expense tracking, receipts, and budget-related tasks as required
  • Provide daily updates to the Programme Development Coordinator on key developments
  • Track and report incidents

Practical details

  • Full training will be provided prior to the start of the programme
  • Accommodation, meals, and transportation will be provided when required for excursions or programme-related travel

Role requirements

  • Ability to stay on-task with little supervision
  • Reliable, high-speed internet available to you during specified working hours*
  • Personal computer or laptop with functional speakers and microphone; webchat headset preferred (for virtual placements)
  • WhatsApp downloaded and installed on their mobile phone
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Creativity and a positive, proactive attitude are essential
  • Knowledge of SEO, video editing and graphic design is desirable
